Ah, my favorite subject. Me.

I'm Megan. I'm a wife, a mom, an animal lover, an avid reader & aspiring marathon runner. I turned the big 3-0 this year and fully intend to hit 31 with a couple of marathons under my belt. I started running in December 2008, ran my first 5k in February 2009 and will be attempting my first marathon in September. Wish me luck & fast feet!

My partner in crime is Geoff, whom I've been married to for 8 years. Our little guy, Colton, turned 2 this year and is the cutest, happiest, funniest boy on the planet. Not that I'm biased in the slightest or anything.

A little history on yours truly. I grew up in Snohomish, WA, or Hickville as Geoff affectionately calls it. I rode horses, was involved with 4-H, listened to country music & all that, so I suppose the shoe fits.

After high school, I attended the University of Washington, earning the incredibly useful, extra snobby sounding French degree (cough). I ended up a grand total of 10 minutes away from where I started and now live in That 80's House in Everett, WA. That 80's House comes with That 70's Carpet, but that is my only complaint about our funky home.

Geoff, Colton & I share our living space with a bunch of furry friends. Dogs (Cartman & Shrek); a bitchy kitty (Socks); ferrets (Fingers, Gir & Monster); a Desert Iguana named Iota; and an assortment of tropical fish. They keep us busy with their antics and extra busy cleaning up after them. Sigh. I think it's time to invest in a Roomba... now to find one that can climb & clean stairs. Inventors, give a mom a hand, wouldja?!

I work at CBA (commercial multiple listing service), where I've been for the last 9 years. I love my coworkers and work schedule and am totally content to work hard so I can play hard later. I'm all about the play part ;)
